We spent the week having more lessons on even and odd numbers, understanding what the plot of a story is, and preparing for a science test on understanding the solar system and the effects of the Earth's rotation.
On Thursday, we had a wonderful prayer service honoring the veterans in our lives who have sacrificed so much for the liberties we are so thankful for. Thanks to the first and sixth graders for leading us in a beautiful service!
We spent our Friday afternoon making cute thanksgiving turkeys out of recycled toilet paper rolls. Some friends created super hero turkeys while others decorated them in funky costumes.
Our school is still working to collect thanksgiving meals for 175 families in our community. Please donate what you can! The second graders, along with our sixth grade buddies, are collecting stuffing and dinner rolls, but we are not limited to those items only! Bring in a turkey if you can! Your donations can be brought to class. Dinner rolls can be brought to school on the 23rd and 24th, before Thanksgiving. Many thanks for your contributions!
Our total classdojo goal last week was 240 points. The class was 13 points shy. Hopefully they can work together to make it to our goal for next week!
Our week in pictures... enjoy!
