We had a wonderful first week of school! As a class, The Second Grade Stars and I learned all of the steps of our morning routine: The Three Ps (prayer, pledge, and SLE pledge), calendar update, and unpacking our belongings. During our Morning Meetings, we learned a little bit about each other by sharing some of the itenms in our Brown Bag Biographies. The Stars were a bit nervous when I told them that they would only have five minutes to complete 100 problems for our daily Rowley Math practice, but they all accepted the challenge. They also opened up their big math books and were ready for our first math lesson. Next week, the Second Grade Stars and I will dive into Religion, Language Arts, Social Studies. Homework will begin on Monday, too. Hope you have a great weekend! I'm looking forward to a great year! We had a great turn-out for Back to School Night. Thank you to all of the families who were able to attend. It was great to meet you-- I will be able to put names to faces really soon! For those who were unable to attend, and for your reference, you may view my Back to School Night presentation here. There is a lot of information pertaining to uniforms, homework policies, lunch, and other helpful things to know. I'm only a phone call, text, or click away! Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Here's looking to a great school year!
